Adam’s back from checking out the Face the Music conference run by our friends at The Push (we’re proud to have worked on their compilations), and the standards are surely being raised for our burgeoning scene of music makers. Quote of the conference came from our friend and client Charles Jenkins on the traps and trappings of the music biz: “Make every release a masterpiece”. We couldn’t have put it better.

All geared for summer, just some of Jack’s latest projects include Jessica Mauboy, Sarah McCleod and Mesere, while Adam’s been finishing off the upcoming second album for Plastic Palace Alice and projects for The Sand Pebbles (7 inch), New Saxons (Tas) and a mix for Amy Meredith.

While we launched the new website, including an online mastering service and this very blog to help spread the word of artists’ releases (thanks for visiting!), Tony “Jack the Bear” Mantz has been working on releases and re-mixes for Groove Armada, Dead Letter Circus, Itch-E & Scratch-E, Charles Jenkins & The Zhivagos, Dead City Ruins, Tommy Trash & Tom Piper, The Greatest Nothing (NZ), Kid Kenobi, Ashton Shuffle, US producer Burufunk, President Roots, She’s The Driver, the debut for Fuzz Phantoms (new side project Kiss Chasey’s frontman Darren Cordeux), US artist Donis, and a new tyDi remix for US producer BT.

Adam Dempsey’s recent projects include New York composer Doug Gibson, Georgia Fields’ latest single, new releases from Silo String Quartet, Yeo Choong (out thru Other Tongues), The Death Rattles, and Melbourne Guitar Quartet, while vinyl lives on with 7-inch singles for Oliver Mann, The Dukes of Deliciousness and The Sand Pebbles.

Finally I have a few minutes to post about some awesome bands and news about them.

The Eternal is first up – an incredible band that I will be mastering. Check them out: www.myspace.com/theeternalband. These guys are a combination of many of my favorite bands… Lep Zep, QOTSA, Tool, Rage Against The Machine, Soundgarden etc.

Rocked out mastering with Guy & Nathan from We The Innocent today. Damn these guys are good and they have a 6trk EP on the way.

Slick production and great catchy tunes……..heavy and melodic.

New mixes from Nick Galea, Kid Kenobi and Klaus Hill tomorrow…….really psyched for those!!!
